He was elected President of Kisan Sabha in 1933 and President of local gurdwara in 1934, and joined National Conference, becoming member of its General Council from 1938 to 1950. Muzaffarabad Report: Zubair Uddin Arfi Three young mountaineers from Muzaffarabad while paying tribute to Muhammad Ali Sadpara have successfully climbed the famous "Makra Peak" located in Behri Pattehka District Muzaffarabad. This peak also connects Pakistani controlled Kashmir with Hazara Region of the Himalayas. The Makra Peak is 3,885 metres (12,746 ft) high. Muhammad Ali Sadpara was a Pakistani high altitude mountaineer who together with two other trying to climb K2, the world's second highest peak at 8,611m (28,251 ft) and also reputedly the deadliest. By Zubair Ud Din Arfi / Farooq Mughal : Muzaffarabad / / A Pakistan origin British woman set a glorious example by rebuilding an earthquake affected primary school in a far-flung village of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). 28-year-old Shireen Khan met the total expenditure of newly constructed building from her own pocket by spending all her savings that she earned while working for overtime. Shireen Khan who is a nurse by profession, inaugurated the newly built primary school on Monday. She runs a charity known as Carrot Kids.
