Peace Moot announced to highlight Kashmir Cause

Muzaffarabad (PR), Thursday, September 30, 2010:

Kashmir Peace Conference (KPC) would be held in Kotli on October 03 under the aegis of a think tank in order to build consensus over the current geo-political situation of Jammu and Kashmir region, said a press release issued here on Thursday.

The heads of different political parties, intellectuals and representatives of different civil society organisations would address the event.

Director Press for Peace (PFP) Raja Wasim said that the core objective of the KPC is to build a pro -people consensus over current situation of Jammu and Kashmir.

The issues include in the agenda of the Kashmir Peace Conference( KPC) are: human rights situation in all units of Jammu and Kashmir, especially current human rights violations in Indian held Kashmir, rehabilitation of quake victims in AJK, grievances of Mangla Dam affectees and public concerns related with Gilgit Baltistan region.

Muhammad Khalil Gorsi Advocate has been appointed as Coordinator of the Confernce.The tentative speakers include Marvi Memon , Member Standing Committee for Kashmir, former Prime Ministers of AJK ,Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhary,  Raja Farooq Haider , Sardar Khalid  Ibrahim, President , Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Party), Malik Muhammad Nawaz  Minister AJK , Cahudhary Muhammad Yaseen ,Vice President PPP AJK, Dr. Khalid Mahmood Acting Ameer Jamaat e Islami, AJK, Muhammad Matloob Inqalabi , Information Secretary PPP, Shoukat Maqbool Butt,Chairman, Kashmir National Liberation Front, Mrs Gulzar Fatima ,former MLA AJK , Tahir Khokhar Minister Tourism AJK, Shazia Akbar,Advisor to PM, Sardar Saghir Advocate,Chairman JKLF), Sardar Ejaz Afzal, President Muttihda Majlis e Amal,Ali Ahmed Jan ,Chairman Karakaram National Movement, Qayyum Raja, Chairman Justice Forum,Mir Latif Advocate ,Dr.Mushtaq  A  Sajid ,Dean University of AJK,Ghulam Muhammad Saffi, APHC),Mrs Saffia ,Saeed Ashad and officials of the PFP; Mrs Tanveer Latif , Eva Maria Teja Mayer,   and Dr Nighat Younas.
