Muzaffarabad: June 01, 2010: A newly formed Alliance for Reconstruction has condemned government’s moves for the abolition of rebuilding projects.

“The people would not allow rulers to diverge from the development plans which were conceived by international donors for the rehabilitation of earthquake affected areas, but now Azad Kashmir government has annulled these vital schemes under the guise of different excuses, including the lack of funds.”

Talking to a press conference here in a local hotel, Tehreek e Tameer e Nau (TTN) leaders Zahid Amin Kashif and Shoukat Javed Mir expressed deep concerned over the failures of Azad Jammu and Kashmir government about the rehabilitation of capital city Muzaffarabad.

They said that the government has failed to provide relief to the people who are suffering from the incompetency and negligence of officials.

“People are dissatisfied and disappointed from the poor performance of ERRA and other concerned bodies which have failed to achieve the target in spite of wasting public money on administrative expenditures”, they added.

The TTN representatives announced to initiate a forceful and result- oriented campaign to put pressure on the government to implement the Muzaffarabad City Development Project, which has been proposed for the rebuilding of affected infrastructure of Capital city Muzaffarabad. End
