Alliance campaigns for reconstruction

Muzaffarabad: June 1, 2010: A conglomeration of Civil Society organizations have been established to campaign for the rehabilitation of Muzaffarabad.

Tahreek-e Tameer-e-Nau (TTN) has been launched to put pressure on the authorities to implement the projects conceived for the rebuilding of affected areas of Azad Kashmir.

The Mass mobilization movement is being started under the aegis of Press For Peace (PFP) and Action Aid Pakistan, which have been voicing the demands of peoples of earthquake affected regions.

Both organizations are running an Advocacy Campaign to highlight the miseries of people of Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot and Bagh Districts.

The decision was made in a meeting attended by different political and social dignitaries.

Zahid Amin Kasif has been elected as the Convener, Shoukat Javed Mir Secretary Genaral, Shoukat Gani Adovcate, finance secretary and Safeer Raza as Incharge Media Cell.

The speakers agreed to launch a campaign in the favor of demands for the reconstruction of the affected areas, including the educational institutions.
